Tony Hinchcliffe, known for his "roast" brand of comedy, took aim at Latinos and Black people attending the Donald Trump rally at New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday to mixed reviews from the audience

"Where are my proud Latinos at tonight?" Hinchcliffe asked to cheers from the audience. "You guys see what I mean? It's wide open; there's so many of them," he said, referring to the Texas border with Mexico. Laughs were scattered with groans from the audience as he continued.

"Believe it or not, people, I welcome migrants to the United States of America with open arms. And by open arms, I mean like this," he quipped while waving his hands in front of him and mouthing, "No, go back." "It's wild. And these Latinos, they love making babies, too, just know that. They do, they do. There's no pulling out. They don't do that. They come inside, just like they did to our country."

Hinchcliffe let out a loud, "Ha, ha, ha, ha!" after the sparse laughs from the crowd died down. "Republicans are the party with the good sense of humor. I don't know if you guys know this, but there is literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it's called Puerto Rico?" As the crowd murmured, Hinchcliffe nodded his head, "Okay, all right. It's Okay," he said.

As a sidenote - there was a sequel to the original (1977) "Roots" miniseries called "Roots: The Next Generations" (1979), which had a fascinating run through history, post-Civil War and up to the 1970s. There was a scene where Alex Haley (played by the now-departed James Earl Jones), then a writer for Playboy Magazine, interviewed American Nazi Party head George Lincoln Rockwell (played by Marlon Brando in his one and only dramatic television appearance, garnering him his one and only Emmy award) -

There was mention in the interview of the hatenannys (a take-off on the "hootenanny" folk dancing and musical events) that the ANP would host where they would sing racist and antisemitic songs. And as I just found out, they even had a record label that recorded and sold records of those songs.
