Except all the replies that focus on diversity of players. There’s not a single mention in this entire thread, before I brought it up, about the diversity of club staffing: managers, coaches, scouts etc.

Re: the lack of black American players, the main problem there is that there are very few young black Americans playing baseball, and consequently very little black American talent available for pro baseball now. The young black athletes mostly seem to be gravitating toward basketball and football, at least that’s how it seems to me.

But what do I know? I’m just a casual baseball fan. Go Brewers!
