In reply to the discussion: Trump's Ex-Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino Declares He Wants to Deport Nearly One-Third of the People in the U.S. [View all]pat_k
(14,228 posts)19. He probably wants a three-generation mandate (with proofs) for non-white people.
You know, Ann Couler's little dream of only third-generation people voting (with "at least" four grandparents born here... like there could be more than four). Bovino would love to require non-white people to prove third-generation status to stay here. No need for proofs from white people. Doncha know the U.S. isn't a nation built on ideas, it's the white ethnic homeland?
Just imagine how many they could deport if they decided non-whites had to produce birth certificates proving status as a third-generation 'Merican?
Person X's birth certificate with both father and mother named.
Matching birth certificate for X's father, with their father (X's paternal grandfather) and mother (X's paternal grandmother) named.
Matching birth certificate for X's mother, with their father (X's maternal grandfather) and mother (X's maternal grandmother) named.
Matching birth certificates for each of the following to prove they were born here:
X's named paternal grandfather
X's named paternal grandmother
X's named maternal grandfather
X's named maternal grandmother
It's my understanding that the federal government and Native American tribes have extensive and accurate record-keeping, so, presumably they'd have no trouble providing proofs (unless the "this is a White Christian homeland" wingnuts somehow disallowed).
Of course, African Americans would be disproportionately tossed out by Jim Crow segregation and discriminatory hospital policies that left many with no "official" certificate for home births.

OP
That's almost a third of all Americans, so he wants to deport citizens also.

Well, that would mean the entire Trump family would be deported. I could support that much at least!

If the U.S. as "white homeland" people had their way, white people would need no proof.

He apparently wants to deport natural born citizens because there are only 60-70 million foreign-born people in the US

This would be funny - something straight out of the Onion - if it weren't deadly serious.
