2. You can be against something

Because you know what the right thing is--and still acknowledge that your gut reaction calls for something else.

I'm anti death penalty. There are some crimes that make me wish the person who committed them were dead. I wouldn't vote that way though, or condone it if that's what happened.

Look at the guy who accidentally beat the man raping his daughter to death--it was an accident, and the father knew he went too far, even calling for help. If the rapist had survived he should've gone to trail, but no one was particularly concerned about his death once all was said and done.

I don't think it's black and white.
