1. The onerous parts of this legislation

are:

1) Requiring docs who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a local hospital This is virtually impossible. As in Mississippi where docs at the one remaining abortion provider in Jackson, have been refused by all 7 hospitals, no hospital will grant admitting privileges.

2) Requiring abortion clinics to meet the same standards as ambulatory surgical clinics, including building, equipment, staffing, location, parking and on and on. These measures are prohibitively expensive.

These are TRAP laws. (Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers) They are far more effective at eliminating abortion than the personhood and heartbeat crap.
