13. Epstein got a plea deal requiring him to NOT name co-conspirators

Besides being extraordinarily lenient (18 months, only 13 of which he served), that is totally ass-backward from a usual plea deal.

Isn't any leniency supposed to be contingent on giving up bigger fish?

In Epstein's case, it sounds like someone at the FBI was doing their job, and a prosecutor and the judge who signed off on the deal covered the asses of the powerful, and deserved to be disbarred at least as much as McCulloch in the Darren Wilson case.

Story on immunity for powerful friends.

This also sounds like a honey pot operation used to control powerful people that would lose all its value if Epstein named names.

You can't blackmail someone with a skeleton in their closet if it's already on the front page.

There must be a smoking dress out there somewhere. DeSwiss Jan 2015 #1

Yeah--no one has seen or posted the actual plea deal. If you have it, can you post it? msanthrope Jan 2015 #16
that's a legit point, however who has gone down as a result of his testimony? yurbud Jan 2015 #18
Who knows? You can never be quite sure how a prosecutor is going to use information msanthrope Jan 2015 #19
