Oliver Stone Makes Impassioned Plea for Sanders: 'Hillary Clinton Has Effectively Closed the Door on

54. She wanted a no-fly zone over Syria.

She actively argued to undermine her former boss - president Obama - on this notion. A no-fly zone over Syria would by necessity require at least the credible threat of shooting down violators. The nation operating most in Syrian airspace is Russia. Hillary clinton undermined Barack Obama's authority because she thought we need to shoot down Russian planes operating in Syrian airspace because... because... because... well she was never quite clear about the "because." maybe there was no "because." Maybe the because was 'just because."

She also spoke against the administration's approach toward iran, demanding ever-more onerous sanctions instead of diplomacy. While this is better than shooting people down, it's still not productive, and in fact as she was speaking after diplomacy was already underway, was actually counter-productive. it was no different than when those republican senators mailed Iran to try to threaten them with a Republican presidency.

This came on the heels of her role in destroying Libya, to no progress for Libya, or even hard-nosed realpolitik gain for the US. Another "just because?" Libya is a ruined country now, and likely will be for some time, at her urging to the president. There was no follow-through there from the US. Kill Ghaddafi and scurry off, to laugh about it later on TV.

That is on the back of her role in not just voting for the iraq war, but ardently supporting hte Bush administrations fraudulent causus belli. She stood in front of the Senate and repeated every lie from Dubya's lips, arguing for them to join her in voting for action against Iraq. Iraq is now also a ruin. or as Clinton phrased it in 2011, "a business opportunity." Just because.

it has nothing to do with sander. Kind of the other way around, actually - much of sanders' support stems from facts like these about clinton. she's a war hawk. And not just a war hawk, she's pretty dumb war hawk at that. Her foreign policy arguments have very solidly been in the wrong whether she's in or our of office. When in office, the ability to make her bad ideas into worse reality has led to millions of people dead.

She's a warmongering fool who wants power in order to grind people she doesn't like into the dirt. She's Nixon with a D next to his name.
