In reply to the discussion: Aide says Trump is insane [View all]maddiemom
(5,106 posts)I used to say the same about Nader. Ralph has always been a little strange in his private life, but I never felt he was insane, just eccentric. At least one third of eligible voters haven't been showing much common sense. Then there's Jill Stein. Over my seventy-two years, I've known a lot of M.D.s, both professionally and socially. The majority have been good people. The old "God complex" meme isn't fair to all, but It's the only thing that can explain Jill Stein. I agree with a lot of her positions, but what have her qualifications for POTUS ever been? She's always seemed smug to me. Anyone who voted for Trump was just not doing their research on the man. I've never "loved" Hillary and voted for Bernie in the primary. Hillary's performance during her grueling session with Congress over the ridiculous (REAL witch hunt) Benghazi/email stuff definitely made me confident of her COOL in tense situations. The minute Trump went into the childish "You're the puppet" rant during the debates, and his strange stalking behind her in the one debate made me lose faith in the sanity of anyone who'd vote for him. Excuse me, but he didn't seem sane THEN.
