There will probably be several more crises between now and the midterms, to say nothing of the presidential race. If there are not crises, the Republicans will invent them. What remains to be seen is how people will actually vote when the time comes. Keep in mind to that polls only show what is happening in a single moment of time and many people can disapprove of what the President may be doing but would still never vote for Trump or DeSantis or some likeminded bird.

We may take a bath in the House at midterm time due to all of the undemocratic measures that the Republicans have been enacting, but that is too early to predict too. If the Republicans think that they can win the Presidency with Trump or DeSantis, I think that they may be wrong. Of course if it looks like they may be lagging behind, they may just call for the revolution.

Who knows, we may commit national suicide and give everything back to the Republicans, but if they get back in full control, they will never relinquish the power again. I also believe that they would go after their political enemies with the crooked courts. A few more right-wing judges and you can stick a fork in progressives. Whatever happens, we will get the government and the nation we deserve.
