... that I think of deaf person trying to learn English without pictures, or signs. I was so lucky to have fallen into my career as an ASL sign language interpreter. I spent many hours thinking about how little sense written language makes if you can't hear it spoken and have visual context. Now, imagine being deaf and blind and learning language.
