In reply to the discussion: Bernie Sanders Continues to Blow Minds With His Sane Tax Policies [View all]Spitfire of ATJ
(32,723 posts)23. I hate that term "Job Creator" because it's part of the aforementioned religion....
The rich don't "create" jobs. They think of employees as a necessary evil.
The richest ones feel ZERO obligation to pay someone enough to live. Some bosses figure if you are able to afford a new car they're paying you too much.
Then there's the other crowd that really drives me nuts.
That's the ones that honestly believe that ALL you need to get ahead is to show some spine and march into your boss's office and ASK for a raise. They act like it's still the 1960s when someone would automatically get a raise if they got married and another when the wife was expecting. That world is LONG GONE.

OP
This week, Jon Stewart described Bernie as a perfectly rational, slightly left of center politician.

Yeah I don't see anything even remotely radical or extreme about his policies

Moving away from worshiping the rich would be a radical shift for America....

I understand the job creator thing is the Right's most successful meme. It has no basis in reality.
