6. don't think you quite understand what the petrodollar means

Its the policy that requires countries who buy and trade in oil to do those transactions with the dollar, this increases the demand for it and thus the value. So how is Bernie Sanders bringing about a solar and wind infrastructure going to be an alternative to the petrodollar? if anything, the loss of the petrodollar would make financing of all those programs Bernie is proposing a lot harder.

Not quite sure what the solution is cos even though I don't care about the US foreign policy strides trying to save it, I hate it if we lost the petrodollar standard
