As the film illustrates it does not matter what We The People want.

If the American people, by a large margin, are against a certain secret trade deal (TPP,TTIP) why do we have to accept it? We have to accept it because we do not have representative democracy. We have representative democracy for the powerful wealthy influential but not for actual human beings.

Unfortunately some people just will not listen. You will hear people right here on DU defend this bullshit status quo.
