1. Nobody really listens to people like Carlin.

He's interesting for an evening, at best, for some people. Then they go home and get back to the meat grinder the next day- all of that beautiful social commentary forgotten. They entirely miss the point and nothing changes.

I've been saying stuff like George did for a while now. I haven't made any headway and it hasn't gotten anyone anywhere. I think it's because people don't want to believe it's true. They don't have the same vision- the ability to stand back and look at the entire picture.
