5. A very worthwhile listen. Both Greenwald and Johnston.

Also, from Noam Chomsky. I wish there was more of an appetite in here for more discussion on this topic. We need to have them.

One takeaway that ALL agreed on was that way too much time has been spent pumping the Russian Collusion click bait over ignoring what Trump and the GOP are doing to the country in so many other ways.

I don't know how some here shouldn't be a bit more contrite towards Glenn Greenwald, as he has been proven right in a lot of ways. And his warnings that if they threw all their eggs in this one basket, that would not be a winning strategy. And how, countries interfering in other countries elections by Russia, by other countries, as well as by the US is common, and has been going on for a long time. And that actually Israel interfered much more than Russia in the US democracy. IMO, I think home-grown GOP operatives, trolls, RW radio and TV, and polling machine hackers, along with the usual tricks of voter suppression actions, have had way more of an impact than anything Russia did. (In fact, I think Putin's cyber army did more damage within the Democratic party than anything. Pitting us against each other when Wikileaks, with Russia's help, revealed the DNC's emails).

I can understand, although I hate it, how the MSM news networks (other than the State TV network) feel the commercial need to create a compelling spy vs spy type espionage thriller going. But the Democratic Party did not need to blithely follow along behind. In fact, I can't remember who, maybe Schumer?, actually dared to say a few words, last year I believe, how the Russia investigation isn't all that important, in the grand scheme. Something like that. He was immediately shouted down and shut up on that topic by other Democrats very quickly. When in fact, that should have been their strategy going forward. Let the Mueller chips fall where they may. They have no control over that. And then, if it is a bombshell against Trump, great!, its the final icing on the cake that takes out NOT JUST TRUMP, BUT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. They should have been painting every bill, even every executive order, if there was no objection from Republicans, as a GOP product, not a Trump steak.

In fact, this couldn't be any better for Trump or his party. Even if, months later, the country learns more, in trickles, through other investigations, maybe Mueller taking to Congress, including any financial criminal investigations, what will the forces of evil be doing?....Going overtime to steer the narrative as sour grapes, and desperation.

Democrats when guests on MSM should just have refused to get into the easy low hanging fruit of Trumps latest embarrassing tweet. And not even talked about him (much, I'm sure, to the hosts frustration). And just pounded away on the Republican party's priorities, And even IF some policy decision came from the WH and not the R House or Senate, it should have been referred to something the "Republican President" did, or the "Republican administration" did. He will fall when he falls. When he does something so vile and toxic that even Lindsay Graham has to take his lips off of the Orange Dotard's giant ass. Because he will.

And what is more, Democrats are now locked into their strategy and now must follow through. They will call Mueller to testify. The thriller story of the relationship between Putin and Trump will be milked until it is dry, taking away even more precious air time from how the GOP is altering the country. Its almost too late now to pivot like that. If they start removing the eggs from the basket now, they will be publicly admonished. They have helped to put the cloak of invisibility over the Republican Party's machinations by not focusing more their fight against Republicanism, instead of Trumpism.
