1. We are already well over 100,000 COVID19 deaths

If you’ve been following the UK, whose response to the pandemic has been as shambolic as the US’s, they estimate that the current actual death toll is 55,000. That’s nearly double the official count of 31,000.
It won’t be surprising if it turns out we’ve been similarly undercounting and the current number of deaths is in excess of 140,000. If the number of cases rebounds up as states reopen, even that is going to sound like a small number.
