That's one thing about Stephen Colbert, he always stays current with the latest news. There was one time when there was breaking news (think it was when TFG was having his first meeting with Kim Jong-un) when he was taping his monologue, so he scrapped his prepared script and ad libbed the rest. And we know how he feels about TFG, decided to quit actually using his name (like we do here), so the names he calls him now are names that his viewers have sent in. You may have noticed they highlighted the particular name he was using last night on the screen.
