Until they came to a place where the tracks were destroyed. I did wonder just how much those "bikes" weigh. Did you notice the outriggers looked homemade? One of them looked like some angle iron bolted together. It wouldn't matter much just rolling along on the tracks, but hefting it over obstacles might be a pain.
