Except I had a head injury a few decades ago that left me with the inability to tune things out naturally. Consequently I wear headphones in public. I wear them everywhere because these types of things annoy me a great deal. I've found I can actually enjoy shopping now that I have headphones.
Anytime I forget to wear them, I'm sorry.
It's always something: screaming kid, cell phone conversation I don't want to hear, noisy store.
