I've always been fearful that my pup (now nearly 8 yo) will get rambunctious on hidden ice, though she's sort of learned that when I start basically "crab-walking," that she needs to slow way down as well. I do wear hiking boots with ice cleats/crampons when it is really bad, but as you know ice can be inapparent.
So glad you are on the mend. I'm going to attribute this to 2020 and encourage you to consider your HEALING as part of 2021.
