6. I start out by searing the tofu in oil, nicely browned on both sides, then remove it from the pan.

Then I cook the veggies for about 3-4 minutes in the same pan (after having par boiled them for about 1-2 minutes); then add the hoison sauce mixture and let it simmer with the veggies for about a minute; then add the seared tofu back into the mix and let it all simmer for about 1-2 minutes more.....In the meantime, the steamed rice has been cooking to perfection!
