Dog is completely confused by a dog statue that looks like him!

3. Sparky's is an ice cream shop near where I live.

Sparky was the name of the owners' bulldog. There was a statue of a bulldog that looked exactly like Sparky that they kept on the sidewalk at the entrance. Sometimes the owners would bring Sparky to the shop with them and tether him to the pole at the front of the store next to the statue that looked just like him. Anybody who walked by would do a double-take when they saw the two identical bulldogs, until one of them moved and they knew which was the statue and which was the real Sparky. When the real Sparky was not there, people would closely inspect the statue to see if it was the real Sparky or just the statue. For a while they sold T-shirts that said "I knew the bulldog was just a statue". And then, a few years ago, somebody stole the statue. And around about the same time, the real Sparky died. They got another statue that looks just like the original one that was stolen, and now they keep it chained up there, still on the sidewalk in front of the store.
