3. My thoughts exactly.

He had a good groundskeeper job for about 14 months at a tourist venue before COVID, they laid him off, and not only did he collect EU, he got the federal and state add-on for 6 months. Now he's living rent free in one of his family's many "condos" they live off, pretty much feeling sorry for himself because the birth certificate thing has ruined his ability to get a job.

Which I question because of the previous job he had for around 14 months.
But he probably played his bro and white privilege cards, as his high school buddy got him that job; now that buddy is no longer there, he has to actually produce paperwork.

It's sad, he was a basic good but clueless kid when he got together with the kidlet in her senior year
But over the years, he seems to have inherited his paternal family's easy comfort to go to gaslight or grift when faced with unpleasantness.
