1. The TV in our house never went on before school

but of course there were cartoon shows in the afternoon hosted by local hosts dressed up as some homey type character such as "Dr. Max" or "Cap'n Ernie." The afternoon shows usually went from 3 to 5PM.

They lasted a few years beyond my youth but went away in the '79s or so.
