of the men who have mentioned this movie to me. It's the scene where the violence is focused on the man. I guess men find that uncomfortable because they're not used to seeing men be the victims of that kind of violence. But it's the exact violence (and even less so) than the violence that had been perpetrated on the female lead earlier in the movie. Which was the point of the violence against the man...payback (in addition to protection from further violence).
