(46,436 posts)Daughter number one will be 42 this year. She is the excellent mother of three wonderful boys, 14, 11 and 6 and works as office administrator/paralegal for a law firm in Denver. She is currently working to complete her degree. She is also an incredible rock singer and sounds quite a bit like Ann Wilson. She and her guitar-slinging husband used to have a really good band here in Anchorage and had quite a following around town.
Daughter number two is 36, mother to three wonderful kids, a boy and two girls, almost 5, almost 3 and an 8-month old. She is one of six or seven staff attorneys for the Directors' Guild in Los Angeles and also an accomplished knitter and cook and writes a really fun little blog in her spare time.
My youngest girl is 28 and lives in the other half of our duplex with her boyfriend. She is incredibly smart and is an excellent pianist. She has worked herself up from a teller at our credit union to IT administrator and is my go-to person when I have computer issues. She's very sweet and compassionate, and I'm so happy to have her close by as my husband and I get older. We've given her a really good deal on the rent so she won't want to move. She has told me that she doesn't plan on having kids, which is fine because six grandchildren between three daughters is just about right.
All three are good Democrats and vote.
I love my girls and grandchildren so much. With the chaos around here while they were growing up (abusive ex-husband, father of the youngest), I am thrilled that they all turned out so well. (Ex never abused the kids, just me. )
