he was. The very epitome of a progressive.

I'd really like for progressives to stop deriding those who actually walked the walk. Yes, it has long been de rigueur to disparage his music and yes, he had problems that lead to his drinking arrests. But he supported environmental causes worldwide well before it was "cool" to do so.

And, if you really are that torn about moving to this beautiful beautiful and increasingly blue state, then I'm afraid I can't understand nor help you.

I for one, feel VERY LUCKY to be here and know almost no one who does not feel likewise.
