Batman IS the more dangerous of the two. Vader has power and knows it, so he'd see Batman as an easy target, but Batman would obsessively look for even the smallest weak point in Vader and bring him down with it.

My entire opinion of Batman changed with Frank Miller's "Dark Knight" and his clash with the Joker. Many artists / writers...especially Neil Adams...attempted to "right the course" of the Joker following the "camp" Cesar Romero version from the TV show. And while they DID succeed in making the Joker a dark, homicidal maniac (especially when he beat Robin to death with a crowbar), "Dark Knight" showed that Batman was at least twice as crazy as any villain he ever faced.
