16. They're all over the place - just about any house built in the '80s has them.

I'm in MN, and popcorn ceilings are common here in houses of that vintage. The other things that were trends in interior decorating during that rather heinous decade were "gold" (brass) faucets in the bathroom and vast, voluminous draperies.
