(8,311 posts)... just as you did when you rescued her and refused euthanasia then.
My Ninja came to me with bladder problems and finally had to have PU surgery. It had a great success rate. I maxed out my CareCredit to get it done. Otherwise he would have required euthanasia, and it seemed so wrong to euthanize a cat when a surgery to fix the problem was available and very successful.
But when his time actually came -- oral cancer, less than 1% one-year survival rate even with treatment.... I was with him to make sure he knew he was loved as he peacefully went to sleep, and knew he would be there watching for me on the Rainbow Bridge.
Don't ever doubt that you are doing the right thing as a response pet owner -- you're stopping her pain.
