...that the shoulder was too narrow to set up a tripod without getting in the roadway. Or that, because of the high speed limit and one-lane-each-way road at that point, it was a hazard just to be walking along the side of the road. In my opinion, neither of which was true, but I didn’t feel it was advisable to argue the point with an officer of the law unless I had a good criminal lawyer at my side.
