for some neighborhoods with multi-million dollar homes. You know, people who can afford household generators.

But then, this is a local story from a Marin newspaper.

Up here where the poor folks live, our local hospital in the last year installed enough solar power to provide 60% of their electrical needs. We didn't get shut off last week. I myself have purchased a small generator, enough to run my refrigeration, TV, wifi and a few small appliances. I just accepted that it's another household appliance that I need to own, like a refrigerator or a washing machine.
