2. I saw this yesterday. this is the beginning of the end of the south shore...

various developers have been trying like hell over the years to get their hands on park on town lake.

so instead, the build all around it until it's suffocated.

give it time.

this is on the east side of I-35 and part of the purposeful destruction of that area of town via gentrification.

it will move steadily west.

the Austin American Statesmen, our right leaning rag has just sold it's land to the family that owns the paper. prepared for that to be massively downsized to a weekly flyer and the land broken up into parcels for condo units.

all around town lake the land is being plowed under for high rises.

in 20 years, if climate change doesn't decimate the city, there will be nothing but over priced grain silos as far as the eye can see.
