4. Here in El Paso there are a lot of us who would love to secede from Texas.

Becoming part of New Mexico is our dream. The people who are actively involved in a political party are a small subset of voters. UT Tyler polls show about 23% as strong Republicans. Out of these maybe a fourth (WAG) are actively involved in the party.
