It's important to be active and vote for the better of two candidates (Dems invariably). But I can't see how calling your potential supporters lazy makes a win more likely. In fact, disdain for your potential supporters probably makes it more likely that a meh candidate will be nominated. Concerns about the desire for a more transformative candidate will probably be dismissed, and opportunities to win wind up like the last two WI governor's races, or the presidential races in 1988 and 2016.
