"Black Butterflies" on Netflix [View all]

If you liked "The Serpent" (also highly rec'd) then you'll settle right into this highly disturbing tale of a grisly murder spree across Belgium and Europe in the 1970s. Exquisite job capturing the look and feel of the 70s.

This is a 6-part 2022 French crime thriller drama that unfolds as the main protagonist is telling his story to the man he has commissioned to write a book about him and his partner-in-crime-and-love, Solange.

I binged the first 3 episodes this morning, and while there are 3 more, I already know I'll miss it when it ends, thus a rec.

It's certainly not light holiday viewing, but if--like me--you're attracted to the darker stuff, you'll appreciate this one. Be aware, there are plenty of graphic and potentially triggering scenes.
