for those days when you need a quick meal: rehydrate by soaking them in warm water for about half an hour, and add them to an omelet, a casserole, a pasta sauce, a package of ramen, a risotto, or polenta. The soaking liquid can be added to soups and sauces as well.

I don't like the texture as much as that of fresh mushrooms, but the dry ones are handy to have around.
