(51,198 posts)30. He came home Wednesday afternoon and had the IV removed yesterday. He's
able to stand, drink water, and wobbly walk a 100 feet or so. Big problem is we can't get him to eat. I'm popping bites down his throat every couple of hours, but he's yet to take the first bite on his own.
I've tried everything: baby food meats, his favorite canned, cat food, fancy dog foods, ground beef, roasted chicken, hard boiled eggs, toast, tuna, gravey, beef broth, and Science Diet canned I/D. Nothing.
If he won't eat, I will have to make a bad choice. Vet's have given him Mirtazapine and steroid shot trying to stimulate his appetite.

Vet called this morning. There's been no improvement. We're scheduling a CT

Hank had a CT scan today and they found nothing except massive ear infection.

Hank began eating some, 8 days after his last meal. So far, He's eaten 4 jars of
