We lost one of ours this past summer. We knew it was coming. She was disabled from a stroke and we knew she only had a little while left. Beautiful classic tabby. Almost 20 human years old. Sweet thing.
Dammit. We love them and dread the day they inevitably leave. But how could we NOT have these precious companions in our lives?
Thank you for bringing your grief here. You wont have to go through it alone. Lots of us have been through this and shared it here, and found sympathy, empathy, and comfort. This is a truly great community. As DUer Skittles once put it: someones always here. Sure meant a lot to me that day.
