There's talk of an extension this off season and his current $5 million salary is small compared to that of relatively equal or less successful coaches. Heck, Sean Payton makes $8 million, Pete Carroll and Mike Shanahan $7 million, Chip Kelley $6.5 million and so on.

There's also speculation he's looking for more control. Hence his denial he's having any personnel disagreements with GM Trent Baalke..

This is just all part of the process..
