There's already concerns in the 3d printing hobbyist 'Maker' space, with plastic guns and things like that. Things that people want to regulate, and can't because the technology isn't regulate-able.
AI will become the same thing, at some point. Not there yet. Current AI levels aren't anything like that in the OP. But some day.

That was just disproven: An AI can self-develop without being tainted by (religious) prejudices.
