Divide by 1000 for the price per kWh, which is how it appears on your bill. The US average is 12.9 cents per kWh. The average US household uses around 930kWh per month.

In my town it’s 8.9 cents, but they tack on about $20 in junk fees. I have a large solar array so most months the junk fees are all I pay.
