and so on. We learned so much from those years. The New Deal would literally not be doable in this environment, but then we're not starting from scratch as they had to either. Nothing "new" about restoring guaranteed vacation leave, for instance. Just a return to that and many other things we once had and want back, plus finally moving forward once again on many fronts to achieve what we should have long ago.

Notably, we are no longer among the leaders in socioeconomic progress. We now have the benefit of the experiences of what worked and didn't in other nations.
