11. She's not the most qualified candidate ever.

She is, however, the most qualified non-VP candidate ever. You may not like her or support her, but it is the truth. She's been the FLOTUS, a Senator, a SoS, and 2x presidential candidate. She has also been a huge fundraiser for the Democratic party and a pretty tireless champion for women around the world. She has a very, very impressive resume. Period. I just don't believe it's her time for the following reasons.

1) She's the establishment candidate in an anti-establishment election. (She can claim being a woman excludes her from the establishment all she wants. That ain't gonna fly with anyone but her die hard supporters.)
2) The perception that she'll say anything to get elected.
3) Some of her past non progressive actions/votes were big ones in the eyes of progressives. Not easily forgiven or forgotten. (I.E. Iraq war, TPP)
4) A negative favorability with the American people.
5) Her ties to Wall street. We can argue all day long about the ethics and/or impropriety of it. Those ties bind and it is/will hurt her. Especially, with Bernie making Wall street a central theme in his campaign.
6) Almost 20 years of baggage. Most of it is complete bullshit and everyone here knows it. Regardless, it is in the minds of the body politic. Voters believe it.
7) The perception that she hasn't been a leader in regard to progressive causes, but rather a follower. (Gay marriage, Keystone pipeline, etc.) Which is somewhat true, but unfair considering most politicians do this. She's being held to a different standard, imo, but the voters don't see it that way.

But. regardless of the problems I see with her as the candidate, she is the most qualified non-VP candidate in a long time.
