While teaching at Harvard in the 1950s, he also served in a role advising the National Security Council. He already had a background in counter intelligence. And he had a long and close relationship with the Rockefellers, especially Nelson (who he supported in the republican primaries in 1960, '64, and '68. After Nixon won in 1968, he hired Henry, and it was then that Kissinger's truly evil nature rose to the surface.

He is a vile character, and perhaps the last human being on earth that any Democrat should seek advice from. The only specimen who is at the same level of evilness would be Dick Cheney.
