(13,776 posts)I admit it. And as you said, I think it really is a YMMV thing. Little things like "please" and "thank you" matter a lot to me; quite possibly they're not that important to all other people, especially (I may be making assumptions) to people who come from the East Coast. Or to people who are about to make a speech and are trying to keep interpersonal conversations brief.
I'm not excusing it. But it's not as though he had an affair or anything like that, which really would have been rude. (By bringing this up I'm referring only to the poor decision-making skills of whoever decided this was something the Hillary campaign wanted to put out there, not to the obvious difference between cheating and being cheated on.)
And since you watched it, you know, as some people do not, that he didn't say "Don't stand next to me"; he just said "Don't stand there," which isn't that big a deal.
