(47,803 posts)I'm not going to go into all the whys and wherefores, but your assessment is totally off base.
Contrary to your assumption, my opinion of Clinton is not the result of knee jerk oppo research..... I read and follow events in general, even when there is not election going on......Yes, like everyone here, i do my share of specific googling and cut and paste here because it's a primary...
.But my overall opinion of her has been formed over the years through the normal following of events....And it's not necessarily personal. It's what she represents and the brand of politics and governing that I object to.
My frustrations are the result of years of experience. Like many people, I kicked back and breathed an initial sight of relief whenever Democrats won in the swings between Dem and GOP power in the WH and Congress over the years, .....But stuff kept happening that made that relief short lived. The prevailing Democrats either caved in to the GOP, or actively promoted things that were not in alignment with (IMO) the best interest of the majority and too favorable with corporate and Wall st.wishes.
Some of those were high-profile...others were done more quietly under the radar. The Clintons and DLC party establishment created that situation, and they have perpetuated it. I believe it's time to turn the page from that.
I'm just another schmuck on a message board. But me -- and the millions of people who share my views -- are not going to just roll over and play dead, and quietly accept what we believe is wrong.
I will spare you from further interactions however. And if you find me that reprehensible, there's always the Ignore list.
