I didn't support his call to primary Obama, but Bernie's call to primary Obama in 2012 was clearly based on issues. There is a big difference between saying someone needs to be primaried because he has failed to keep campaign promises and has not been progressive enough and saying someone should be primaried because of sour grapes over another election.

Plus, Bernie as a US citizen is a constituent of the president and thus had an interest in the 2012 election. Most of the people calling for Bernie to be primaried are not from Vermont, probably have never been to Vermont, and have no vested interest in the Vermont primary in 2018 other than retribution.
