He needs every vote he can get, and he won't want to make the RWNJs decide to stay home on election day. To the Freeps, a profile in courage is standing with the birthers and racists.

I actually considered what it would be like for a plant to pose such a direct question and watch him squirm to please the base without coming out and saying he agrees with the nut cases. His party got him into this mess, and they can't get him out.

Remember, Romney is fighting a RINO label as it is.
