Total contributions: $12.4 million.
Total to current members: $8.1 million.

The amounts listed for the two current Vermont members (other than Sanders) don't add up to $8.1 million. You ask, "Where did the rest go?" I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it went to current members from one of the 49 other states.

And as for the difference between $12.4 million and $8.1 million, obviously it went to people who were in Congress at the time but who have since left office.

I just don't understand how you can keep insinuating that maybe some of this money went to Sanders when the post and the linked article state expressly that the amount going to Sanders was zero, nada, zilch.
